IPhone Duo Goes On Sale Today: Customers Queue Outside Apple Stores Overnight

New Delhi: The sale of tech company Apple's first foldable smartphone iPhone Duo is starting today, i.e., 23 October 2026 in many countries, including India. The company had introduced this phone in September and its pre-booking started on October 16. The starting price of this phone, presented with foldable design, large screen and powerful processor, has been kept at Rs 299,900 in India.

How much does iPhone Duo cost?

Apple iPhone Duo is offered in four storage options. The price of its 256GB model is Rs 299,900. Whereas, for 512GB storage variant, you will have to spend Rs 324,900. The price of 1TB model is Rs 374,900, and the price of 2TB variant is Rs 449,900.

This phone is available in star white and night sky colour. Customers can purchase it through Apple's official website and Apple Store. However, it is important to check the details at the time of sale for availability of different storage variants.

Does an iPhone Duo have two displays?

The biggest feature of this smartphone is its foldable design. On opening the phone, you get a 7.6 inch inner Super Retina XDR display. At the same time, the 5.4 inch outer display can be used when the phone is switched off.

ProMotion technology has been provided in both the screens, which supports refresh rates up to 120Hz. The inner display helps in watching videos, playing games and using multiple apps simultaneously. The company has also given a nano-texture finish to reduce glare and reflections on the screen.

Which processor is given in iPhone Duo?

Apple iPhone Duo has A20 Pro chipset, which is based on 2nm process technology. According to the company, it is also provided with advanced thermal management system and vapour chamber for better performance.

The phone works on iOS 27.1. Using its large display, users can run two apps simultaneously with the help of Split View feature. It also has features related to Apple Intelligence and Siri AI, although the availability of some features may vary depending on the language and region.

How special is the iPhone Duo's camera?

For photography, the phone has two 48MP cameras at the back. These include Fusion Main and Fusion Ultra Wide cameras. The main camera also has optical quality 2x telephoto capability. According to the company, this camera helps in taking better photos even in low light.

The phone has a titanium frame, strong hinge and IP68 rating, which provides protection from water and dust. The company has designed it in such a way that the phone gets the experience of a large screen when it is opened and a compact smartphone when it is closed.
